How to grow watermelons at home ep 02 “Now info how to do it.”

April 10, 2007

In 2003 I tried to grow watermelons on my windowsill.

I had some seeds taken from an ordinary watermelon.
It’s easy. Just take water, soil and seeds. You plant your seeds at the end of the winter.

I did not have big enough pots so i used some dispensable water containers instead.

Tips & Tricks:

  • When you’ve got flowers put your plants outside (balcony). Its important because it will make it easier for the bees to make their work done.
  • When you don’t have enough room, you can make a some kind of an scaffolding like I did. But you have to secure the watermelons because the are’nt apples and the hang as good.
  • You can try to use a bigger pots. As you see my watermelons ware rather small maybe it would help. You can use unused paint buckets/containers.
